How do I buy something from

Step 1. Hover over ‘shop products’ in the top bar or use the Keyword search boxes are located on the top right of every page

Step 2. Select the article category (blankets, carriers, etc)

Step 3. Select your preferred product, colour option and quantity and click on ‘add to bag’.  Your item is now in your bag.

Once you’ve added an item to your shopping cart, keep searching until your cart contains all of the items you want to order.

You can access the contents of your shopping cart at any time by simply clicking on the bag at the top of the page and then click on “view basket” button. Your product list will appear. Select the products you wish to buy and click on the check-out button on the bottom right of the page

Step 4. Check out

  • To enter checkout, click on the ‘proceed to checkout’
  • If you are a returning costumer, please log in at the top of the page
  • If you have a voucher, please enter your voucher code
  • Complete the billing address. If the billing and shipping address are different, please tick the box next to “ship to a different address?” and complete the fields.
  • Select your delivery method in the box called “your order” on the right of the screen.
  • Select your payment method in the box called “your order” on the right of the screen
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions and click on “place order”.
  • A complete order summary will now display with all the details of your order. Please ensure that all information, including your delivery details is correct.

Where does deliver to?

We deliver to a physical address in South Africa

What are my delivery options?
  • Courier – We deliver directly to your home or office from one of our warehouses, anywhere in South Africa.

Please note that delivery options may be disabled or changed at the discretion of if we believe that circumstances outside our reasonable control will result in failure to deliver such as industrial dispute or strike.

What will delivery cost me?
  • Our courier cost will be R85 for shipping in South Africa.
  • Postal deliveries will be according to the latest fee structure to your area from one of our warehouses, anywhere in South Africa. Insert your address on checkout and the postal cost will be calculated for you
  • Collection at our warehouse in Cape Town will be free.

How long does it take for my parcel to arrive?
  • The countdown in terms of the shipping period begins once your payment has been authorised. For credit cards this means that once the bank gives us an authorisation code. For EFT payments, this means once the funds reflect in our bank account.
  • Orders are picked daily at 12.00 SAT, therefore all order received after this time will only dispatched the following working day, provided there is stock and payment confirmation into our bank account?
  • All local orders are dispatched via our courier service. Courier service deliveries will take between 2-4 working days and is area dependent. Delivery will only be done on working days, within working hours to the address provided by you. The courier will phone and confirm a time for delivery.
  • Working days are defined as Mondays to Fridays, excluding Public Holidays
Can I deliver goods to friends or family?

Yes you can. Please ensure you enter the friend or family member’s address in the ‘shipping address’ field upon checking out. The ‘billing address’ field would then be your address. The recipient will be asked for proof of identity upon delivery.


What payment methods do you accept?

We accept VISA and MasterCard as well as EFT’s.

Is it safe to use my credit card?

Virtual Card Services (VCS) process all credit card transactions on All credit card transactions are 128 bit Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encrypted. The company registration documents and the site’s registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte (, ensuring the cardholder and merchant that nobody can impersonate VCS to obtain confidential information.

No Baby Sense team member, agent or subcontractor every sees or has access to your credit card details, they are stored with our payment gateway. Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode are implemented on the site for online cardholder authentication using 3D secure. 3D secure refers to the three domains involved with the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode process:

1 – The acquiring or merchant’s bank.

2 – The card association networks i.e. MasterCard and Visa.

3 – The issuing or cardholder’s bank.

VCS does not log or store CVC numbers, so it is impossible to obtain full card details from the VCS system for fraudulent activities. Baby Sense does not have access to the cardholder’s card details that are stored on the VCS servers.

VCS complies with the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard, VCS are affiliated with ABSA, FNB South Africa, Standard Bank, Nedbank, ATM Solutions, FNB Namibia and FNB Botswana. VCS is a Reserve Bank Registered System Operator, a Member of Association of System Operators ( and and are certified by Thawte.

Can I order via email/fax/phone?

You can only order online via our online shop. Due to security reasons we do not accept orders via telephone, fax or e-mail.

Do I need to create an account to buy online?

You don’t need an account to shop; however, setting up an account gives you several advantages. You will be able to move through the checkout process faster and view your order history.

What currency do you use?

We accept South African Rands.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

All prices shown on our online shop are inclusive of 14% VAT.


Can I return my purchase?

We will not accept any returns on sale articles, other than defective articles.

If the Products are not the same as what was ordered this must be reported within 24 (twenty four) hours of delivery. Any damage must also be immediately reported, within 24 (twenty four) hours of delivery.

Any complaints regarding the quality of the product or bought by consumers through the should be e-mailed to All defective articles returned will be inspected by the Baby Sense quality department. Should the article found to not be defective, no refund will be made by Baby Sense and the cost of returning the articles will be for the customer’s account. You will be credited or refunded for the postage costs incurred, up to a maximum as agreed by Baby Sense (PTY) LTD before the Products are returned.

If you are returning Products via courier or post office you must package it carefully so that it does not become damaged enroute. Please include a copy of your original invoice with any return and communication regarding the Baby Sense approval of the return.

How do I return or exchange my Baby Sense product?

If you need to exchange an item, please contact us. Please note that you are responsible for the all the postage fees. If there is a manufacturing defect, we will refund the postage fees.

Redeeming Vouchers

How do I redeem a voucher?

Redeeming your voucher is easy. Simply follow these steps:

  • Add the items you want to your shopping cart and then click ‘View Basket’ or click the shopping bag icon at the top right of the site.
  • Towards the bottom of the page you will see the title ‘Claim Voucher’
  • The voucher that you’ve received has a voucher number on it.
  • You can enter your voucher number here and the value will be deducted from your order.
  • You can then proceed to checkout and will be asked to pay only the remaining balance bycredit card or
Where do you enter the voucher number?

When you place your order, there is an open field for you to insert your voucher number at the bottom of the ‘View Basket’ page, as well as on the top of the ‘Checkout’ page. The value of the voucher will then be deducted from your order total. If there is a remaining amount due you can pay this by credit card or EFT.

When does my voucher expire?

Promotional and marketing vouchers are only valid for the period mentioned on the voucher itself.

Sending a Gift

How do I send someone a gift from your store?

It’s simple, create your order as normal then when you get to the checkout page you will be asked for the receivers name and address, delivery address, you can enter their details there and we’ll send it to them directly. You will also have the option to add a gift message which we’ll hand-write it for you in a pretty card to accompany your gift. Let us know what should be in the handwritten card in the “Order Notes” block when you check out.

We’ll also make sure that only you receive the invoice and receipt of payment and not the receiver for um… obvious reasons.

Can you giftwrap my order?

In the shop there is a product option called gift wrapping. Choose your gift wrapping option here and let us know what should be in the handwritten card in the “Order Notes” block when you check out.

Creating & Editing an Account

How do I create an account?

To create an account go here and then click on ‘Create account’. Fill in your details, save and your account will be created. Now do a little happy dance! 🙂

How do I edit my details?

You can change your address by logging in to your account. Go to Login and click on “Edit account details”. Click ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the page once all your details have been updated.

How do I change or edit my saved physical address?

You can change your address by logging in to your account. Go to Login and click on “Edit account details”. You’ll need to enter your new address. Click ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the page.

I've forgotten my password. What now?

You can click on the ‘forgot password’ link on the log in page. You will receive an email which will allow you to change your password. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam/junk mail folder and if it is not there, please send us an email to with your name and contact number so that we can assist you.

If you’re having trouble logging in, please make sure you are using the correct email address and password. If you’ve forgotten your password, don’t worry about it. Resetting your password will take care of it.

I forgot my password, what now?

If you can’t remember your password, just go to the Log in page and click “Lost your password?” Enter your email address and we’ll email you a link to reset it. Sorted!

Can I change the email I use to log into
